Thought you might be interested to see what the Lazer Linear looks like mounted on the front of a D4.
Couldn’t find any mounts to fit available and didn’t want to use the Lazer number plate mounts I had used on my D3. So, I made my own.
I had some leftover racking from my 110 Wolf FFR that I’d removed a few years ago. I cut a section and shaped it to fit where needed and then mounted two L-shaped metal brackets. These were from Amazon for £15. I shortened them, drilled holes for the Lazer side mounts, re-sprayed in Matt black and bolted them to the cross bar.
It’s extremely tough and probably overkill but it’s a solid fitment through the grille with no alterations to the car itself.
I did all of this with pretty basic hand tools, a jigsaw, drill, files etc. nothing fancy.
Still got the CANM8 piece to do but I love the look so far. Almost unnoticeable, it blends in nicely and doesn’t stick out.

Well done, tidy work. Would be interested to see what you think of the Linear 18
I put a (cheaper) version of this LED lightbar in similar location but I actually put it in behind the grill, trimming a couple of bits from the grill. It is invisible pretty much until I use it. Will dig out some pictures of it installed

I've had it for years, it was fitted to my D3 a few years back.
I can tell you that it turns night into day, I've seen lots of land rovers where their owners think their cheap light bar is great but the light is short distance mainly, the Linear throws it very long and leaves no dark areas.1998 Defender 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF

I am very tempted to upgrade to the Linear 18, thanks, now I will be thinking more about it. I spend a lot of time on country roads here in Clare.

I had a much 'brighter' big LED bar on before and all they do is flood the area in front and your eyes get starved of detail in the distance. The one I have is more of a spot focused unit rather than flood.
But will be looking into the Linear

Nice project and mount. Myself, I installed it with the Lazer’s own basic mounts right above the license plate in the air intake.

Just though you might like to see my D3 lights
Fitted the roof lights myself, then went to the grill with the built in bar bought from the forum wouldn't be without the lights specifically in winter driving down through Cheddar Gorge.
The front grill light is removed with the grill with quick clip connection and is wired to the headlights ,has passed two MOT with the light bar connected and just passed another Tuesday this week but I took the grill, off and used the spare grill for summer.
