Maybe there's a new/different customer base. The 'D5' has had most online enquiries and online configuration hits than any previous vehicle. Whilst every one doesn't equate to a customer it's a good indication of what demand is going to be

yes but that was mostly D4 owners playing to see how much the new plastic fantastic would be!
Personally I hate to say it but with the demise of the Defender and the marque now moving towards "aspirational recreation & utility vehicles " with the new range of discovery's there wont be a true domestic 4x4 anymore and that dear friends is a travesty

Hi Dudley,
No I'm afraid I don't have an IID tool and as far as I know it hasn't had the software upgrade. But I guess someones perception of what is of good quality or not varies. I'm just comparing it with my Audi. It rightly or wrongly just seems to make it a little more acceptable if they are no better/worse against other manufactures..........2010 RR 5.0 Autobiography

I must say the camera is far from HD, but mine does not seem to be that bad and I would go as far as to say acceptable considering it is not HD.
Back to the XXV, I'm really pleased with mine and they did come with every conceivable extra put on Disco's and a few extras only to be found on the XXV, so you won't be found wanting you had bought a Landmark or HSE Lux in it's place.
The only disadvantage is you have to like Causeway Grey, as to date I have not seen silver or white which were the other limited colour options to the XXV. Just lucky for me this was always my first choice of colour.........
Is that long marston airfield ? I used to go gliding there many moons ago.

The airfield used to be practically deserted apart from some bobble hat wearing glider pilots.
Ahh, simple days.

So the hook goes through the eye on top of the winch. The other end of the hook rod goes through the hole in the middle of the wheel brace . . . . Simples D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT

Funny you should bring this up! I traded my MY13 HSE Lux in yesterday for a MY14 XXV.
It's got everything you'd get in an HSE Lux, and then add rear aircon, surround cameras, wade sensing, reverse traffic detection, blind spot monitoring, adaptive xenons, high beam assist, tow assist, aluminium shift paddles and aluminium plate on the back. All the other bits are cosmetic - badging etc.
They were silly money new, but now they're about the same price as an HSE Lux of the same age.
Bought mine as a keeper and to be fair, the only thing that is absolutely appalling is the quality of the cameras in comparison to the MY13, but we all know about that and it's been discussed at length on the forum.
They are becoming like hen's teeth to find and seem to sell as soon as they come up! Only 1500 were built worldwide, so it's not a surprise.
My Lux has all but the rear aircon & plate on the backPaul.

Nice one Mark, you won't be disappointed...... I must confess one of the main reasons for buying mine was just to have the cirrus leather, what ever Land Rover I have in the future I will always try to opt for that colour.
