Hi the bi-xenon lights only have one bulb for main and dip,and uses a shutter to mask off part of the bulb and are not as good as the earlier type.

I have these on my D3. They are the indicators but I'm sure on the D4 they also double as the side lights.
The DRLs are my side lights but I've passed D4's with the same MY14 units with sidelights on and that area is lit up.2008 XS Java Black

MY14 on
Halogen headlight bulb, round DRL bright/sidelight dim next to grill, indicator on outside in similar location to earlier D4
Or
Xenon headlight bulb, DRL LED strips bright/sidelights dim, indicator in round space next to grill (exactly where the DRL is with halogen headlights as above).

As said above, there is no main beam lamp. The main beam is a motor shutter that when not used blinkers the top part of the light, creating a dipped beam. When you put main beam on, this moves out of the way.
Makes it so much harder to facelift!

No problem
No main beam = no facelift
Also the MY11 has the bi-xenon with the motor shutter and in addition, it has also the main beam!!!Discovery 5 tdv6 HSE Corris Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

All D3 and D4 with xenon lights have the shutter arrangement that switches the xenon bulb from high beam to low beam mode. All pre 2014 also have halogen high beam "in fill" as LR call it, bulb to complement the xenon when in high beam mode.

I've got MY14 xenons on a MY11 which had halogens
I've had xenons activated and appear not to have "bright" xenon DLR just the sidelight or dimmer version. I also can't flash main beam when dipped beams are on.
Other than that is there any feature of the headlight assembly I am missing?

Same here etuna, I'm trying to get my head round the wiring changes now. You should be able to enable cornering lamps too
