So after two trips (appointment based) to Land Rover in Tufnell Park London and not being able to have my wheel alignment done (first time timing mistake made by receptionist and second the ramp is stuck (so not really blaming them or upset).

Anyway called them today and their ramp is still down.

Can anyone advise where I'm London around the west central or near (west) I can get my disco aligned? Do I have to go to a dealers/Land Rover specialist or can someone advise me a good company that can do it?

I've googled but loads come up and I don't know if they are discovery capable.

Many thanks.

Hi guys.

Do the car is still veering quite badly to the left. I have it booked in for a wheel alignment at land rover this Thursday (they are doing it half price).

Now I got my iid tool I was playing around and I got some reading that I quite didn't understand but made me think; is it possible that if the suspension is higher or lower on one side that can cause the car to pull/veer?

My both left tyres are starting to wear on the outer edge.

Here's some pics from the tool.

All the above is irrelevant to the actual height of the vehicle, to check the height which could be your problem, you need a tape measure not an Iid tool Shocked , on level ground measure from the center of the wheel hub to the bottom of the wheel arch, front 466mm rear 485mm allow for max 10mm tolerance across the axle.
Hunter Alighnment is best do a search for one nearest you http://www.alignmycar.co.uk/what-to-expect/
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Hey M3DPO.

Thanks for letting me know. Appreciate it. When measuring do I do it in standard height/mode off road or low level height?

Many thanks.

So today I finally got my car in for the full wheel alignment (third time lucky). Had it done at Landrover North One in Tufnel Park North London.

For my precious troubles they gave a little discount (went down from £129.99 to £114) not much but wasn't expecting anything anyway.

Service by them was great and very easy to deal with.

So I have driven my car a fair bit today and tried to get as flat a road as possible and must say have noticed a massive improvement. Still veers left at times but I put that down to the way the London roads are built (tilting left for water drainage if I am correct).

So yes I am pleased and hope this was the only issue. Time will tell and if anything changes I will keep you guys posted. As for now, all good.

Here is the results of the alignment, I haven't got a clue what any of those numbers mean but maybe some of you do.

One bolt was seized they told me and they had to hear it up to adjust. But that's sorted.

Will be doing the height calibration soon just to make sure that part is ok.

Hi Azz.

Check temperature of brakes. Mine did this and the front caliper had partially seized causing frag on left side.

Could also be arm bushes worn. Any knocking over bumps?

Any comments on the last MOT?

Hey Gaz.

I'll have a look at them. My front brake pads where changed for brand new Land Rover genuine ones when I first got them but I'll check the brake calipers. No knocking on bumps but occasionally I do hear a burst of two or three knocks when my car is on full lock turning left. I mentioned when I got my wheels aligned but they rated it after he alignment and said they couldn't hear it. I have heard it since but it doesn't happen all the time. Mot was fine try mentioned brake discs low (so I replaced) and they said back left both bushes need replacing (as did the stealers). The stealers told me ages ago when I went that my front whole steering rack needs replacing (don't know if maybe this is related) but when my mechanic tested the car he told me it seems fine and I don't need replacing it.

Adam tyre pressures are fine I check them regularly and they hardly ever seem to lose pressure.
