Prospeed, bottom 'stirrup' makes life so much easier over OEM (owned prev so can give an informed opinion) & others. Prospeed quality also better.

I've removed my LR ladder and fitted a Prospeed. Much better. New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

It seems the Prospeed one is the best. Is it fairly easy to fit?

I have been recommended the Prospeed one for my Discovery 4 but have just seen there is one from "Front Runner" which has similar fitting and costs less. Has anyone got one or seen one of these.

Sorry to bring up an old thread...... but can anyone tell me if a ProSpeed Ladder will be ok to fit, if I have a Rear RHS Swing Arm Tyre Carrier? I'm more concerned that the "Stirup" of the Ladder will interfere with the Tyre Carrier..... cheers Don, Perth WA

I emailed them and it looks like there is only approx 0.5 inches of space between the Ladder and Spare Wheel, so that had put me off....... then I was told of the 235 pound postage charge, which totally wrote off the idea!!! Don, Perth WA

I would definitely NOT recommend the OEM one. I have had 4 from new on my D3/4s and they all started rusting and flaking very quickly. My current one is 16 months old and i have had to touch it up at least 6 times MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Don,I just went for a less spindly ladder by Dolium,they are in WelshpoolRoad,cheaper and easy to fit.

That looks good quality Eddy, but maybe a bit on the skinny side for me? Can you stand on one rung with both feet? and is there any chances of the ladder rubbing on the paint?

i have an LR one, there ok but i did have to remake the mounting bracket that fits under the door handle.
you can pick them up sometimes cheaply, i keep thinking about adding the stirup to it to make it easier to use as the step height is quite large and i find it hard at 6'2"Andy.
