I have just got a new ECT sensor but it is different to the one on my car?
The one one my car has a right angle where the connector goes, but the one I have received is a straight connector?
Will the straight one fit before I remove the old one?
Vehicle is a MY2006 Discovery 3 2.7 HSE

I'm sure the position of the sensor changed on later models (D4)??. Not sure they are interchangable.
Andi.
Edit. Just been on the Advanced factors site, and they only show a straight version and a corresponding part no' change for D3.

If you have an existing angled ECT, then you'll need the angled one.
Straight one will not fit.

@fino Thanks for the clarification.
Got the new "right angle" part in the post yesterday, only took 5 minutes to fit!
Now have to go for a few test drives to see if it works!
