Phone mount for a D4
How easy is it to do this on a D4?
I need to get the phone mounted properly rather than it rattling around in that little fag packet shaped cubby slot thingie.

Very easy, they also do a mount the puts the phone lower down on the passenger's side near the heater controls MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added
MY2019 D5 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - sold to a dealer for a crazy price! - So good I bought another!
MY2012 D4 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - retired to a new home
Del, the top one also has a Brodit flat plate to move the mount further to the left; means I have clear access to indicator.
I use a generic cradle due to phone being in a Defender case.
Paul.

The Proclip looks easy enough to fit (thinking the lower one now):
But how do you fix this to it without drilling holes in proclip thingie? Sticky pads?
Both of my holders are then screwed to the pro mount to securePaul.

Have just fitted the lower one to my D4 along with a universal holder that is large enough to take my iPhone 6 plus in a Lifeproof Fre case. Took more time to clean the plastic trim with a suitable solvent to make sure no silicon on it before fitting the pro-clip than it did to actually fit the pro-clip & screw the holder to it.
I prefer not to have holders that mask air vents, especially one for the driver for obvious reasons. Only downside of the lower mounting place on my D4 is that I have such a large phone the holder prevents the little coin tray where I keep the spare dash cam cards from opening fully but maybe not such an issue with a Norma sized phone.
Have used Brodit kits since about Y2K and very happy with all. D4 - Stornoway Grey
D2 V8 - Zambesi Silver (rust free JDM import 😎)
FL2 - Sd4 HSE

FL2 Td4 - Zambesi Silver - sold
D2 Td5 - Epsom Green - sold
F1 Td4 - Giverney Green - sold
90 300 Tdi - White – sold BIG mistake should have kept it!
F1 Td4 - written off by a taxi!
D1 300 Tdi - written off by a Fiesta...
D1 200 Tdi - sold
90 Turbo Diesel - sold
Ser 2a SWB - sold and glad I 'got rid'
Ser 2 SWB - sold but wish I still had it!
I have one to fit as well, he must be in agony. You enjoying the new girl?Paul.

Half way there. Just won a phone holder on fleabay for £5, now only have to decide whether I want it mounted up by the indicators or by the heater control. Leaning towards the latter.

Don't know what you won Del, but you're best with an 'active' holder rather than a 'passive' holder.
Always run 'active' with mine, that way your phone is always charged.
Btw, There's a Brodit UK distributor down my way and it's called ...... DSL

I see the the irony with DSL, especially since they don't give me a discount!!
No, it's the passive one but got plans for wiring it in.
