Another watch thread......

Tudor really expanded their range quickly. Got an invite to view from where I bought my Rolex D-Blue from and was surprised how many they now have in the range....... Over 140 with colour/strap variants Shocked

Like the 'Black Bay Dark' but no date window otherwise I'd have one of those Sad

The 'North Flag' has a touch of the older IWC Aquatimers to them to me

The 'Pelagos' most likely model for me - I'd have one in black if they did one

The 'Advisor' range has a look of 'Longines' to me? Smart and less 'fussy' than the 'Grantour' range.

Checked out Rolex/Tudor prices whilst in US - no bargains there to be had IMO

Tudor

Brilliant alternative to Rolex...
Without any compromise on quality
Now some have Tudor movements.....
I have thought about a second watch from Tudor....

As per Rolex you don't see these discounted that much anywhere....
That's good & bad
Good as the values stay high & usually increase
Bad as you can't get one cheap...

My original Rolex Explorer 2 cost £400..00 some 37 years ago...
I traded this for a really good figure 10 years ago...
I found it was worth €22,000..00....which I have seen ones for sale about this price

We currently have four in the family..... one each...all very valued possessions
 BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

I bought a Rolex Oysterdate (wind-up version) when I was in Aden in 1966. It cost me £25 (which was about three weeks pay)and the first service back here in the UK cost the same. Since then it's had a new glass a couple of times and a new winder recently but other than that it is a good reliable watch. To such an extent that SWMBO snaffled it a couple of years ago and had the bracelet shortened to fit her. I haven't a clue what it's worth but servicing is now north of £300.

The same shop that I bought the watch from also had a range of Tudor watches and the story then was Tudor watches were made by Rolex trainees/apprentices and so were half the price of Rolex but just as good. Probably complete Horlicks to entice us into buying the more expensive versions. Laughing

I can't get the Rolex back from SWMBO so I've just treated myself to a Tag Heuer F!:

Good bit of kit and (for the moment) it's actually luminous. Very Happy

Apparently I can't have a new Rolex and a D5.
