Dealer using Test Book identified that connectors on the back of the engine are causing this problem. Spent 1 day getting to the connectors and rectified the fault.

Chris.
Did you ever had the same message again since then? Where exatly do you mean "on the back of the engine" , or what exactly those connectors had been for? LR3 TDV6, Base 7-seat, Alpine roof, rear locking diff.

My Disco has the same fault, 5 times, each time stopped turned off and restarted seemed to go away.
Have booked in for repairs and advised them on possible cause also while its in have asked them to programe for towpack which has just been fitted.
I'll let you now what happens. HSE TDV6 Silver : "Avin it large"

Ooohh!
theres also LA404-001 battery junction box connections (loose fuses basically)
and
LA501-007 Water Ingress via A-Pillar Exterior Trim or A-Pillar Trim Adrift (water getting into multipole connectors)
I'm NOT saying these relate to your vehicle, but it's worth getting your dealer to check that the corrective actions are not needed on your vehicle
p.s. sort ya profile out so we can be specific on the bulletins!!

Had the same problem, towing a caravan up a hill and the car lost power moved into the hard shoulder where it would only do 10-15 mph.
got off at the next junction and called Land Rover Response.
They came out and didnt know what to do, checked all the fuses and started it up. It was then ok. 30 mins later it did it again.
The car eventually got to a a Land Rover Dealer near Gatwick, where it stayed all weekend for it to be moved to James Edwards Chester. They offered us a Micra hire car - Not a chance ended up with a MPV after a choice converation! they also towed the caravan to the dealer and back to out home.
The Dealer totally denies a fault, they then tested it by towing a freelander on a trailer up a hill, it did the same. but they can not find a fault - so cant fix it.
What is out next step?

When Trading Standards say nothing else can be done, what is it that they mean exactly?
You don't need to involve them, anyway. Clearly the vehicle is not fit for purpose. How old is it and how many miles have you done?

March 05, it has now done 12k.
this first happened in July, the dealer does not want to know and wont give us another car - they say there is nothing wrong with it.
So trading standards got involved, because its an intermitent fault and land rover cant see a fault - thats it.

I thought you said that it did the same thing when the dealer tried it?
They can actually monitor the vehicle performance on the move, did they do that?
I agree that, given the vehicle age/mileage and that the fault is intermittent, you are not in such a strong position.

Yes the dealer tried it and it did the same thing, but they said they cant find a fault.
When they tried it a second time they couldnt get it to repeat the fault.
