Hi guys
My LR3 has developed a slow water leak from the washer bottle, everyday in the mornings I'm being told washer levels low and a damp patch where the cars been all night,
I've not bumped the front of the car but we have just returned from the Middle East in it, I'm thinking the 40 degrees heat has cracked it or unsettled a rubber bung,
Now I know it's under the front passenger side headlight somewhere, but is it easy to pull out and change if needed to be?
Any tips would be great at the point.

I replaced mine about a month ago due to seam along bottom of washer bottle leaking. An hour tops to remove washer bottle.

When mine leaked it was the seam between the two plastic halves of the bottle. Cured with a soldering iron to melt the plastic, and a layer of Araldite smeared over the top

Further to my post above, that fix didn't last long. Second attempt has been to fibre glass over the seam along the bottom. Seems to be working okay, although initial concern as soon as I had done it, reading on the internet everything said that fibre glass resin won't stick to that type of plastic.

Well afer getting wet by laying under the front of the car and peeling back the inner wheel lining, I found that all the pumps was in place and not leaking, but water was down from the front side of the bottle somewhere, i could not see that far as its the bumper side,
but it has stopped leaking when its gotten down to a certain level, so i can only but assume its cracked half way down as the cars not leaking and the cars not telling me its low on washer fluids,
So now im shopping for another bottle which seams to be expensive for a 2nd hand part on Ebay etc,
and looking at the weather reports for the next not so cold day to get outside and become frozen cold myself in the process of removing the front bumper again in under 4 weeks !

My bottle started leaking when I had an ARB roo-bar fitted. When I removed the bottle it was obvious that the master technician (not) at the workshop had ignored an obvious fault with the bottle, that being one of the support tabs didnt line up flat with the mounting point on the body so he had just cranked the bolt up and split the plastic bottle.
I took it to a plastic fabricators business and they were very confident the plastic was fully weld-able. They heated the tab and re-aligned it and welded the split. Permanent fix.
Replacement bottles may be cheaper in the UK than here in Australia, but welding is definitely an option. Dont bother with glues etc, just get it welded.

GDay mate
Yep, your not wrong, I'm a fixer rather than a replacer, but if it's not in my means to do so then I gotta bite the bullet and pay up,
I got another bottle of ebay in the end, £25 Delivered. I transplanted over the pumps and put the washer bottle back into place carefully. The old bottle was cracked along the join weld and filled with scale so I binned it rather than repaire it,
I also replaced the front parking sensors wire loom and 1 parking sensor whilst the front bumper was off,
So alls well that ends well,
Paul 👍🏼
