Right, finally got round to fitting it. Sort of went to plan until I went to put in the rhs thumbwheels and there was no way they were going in.

So bit of bodging and a couple of M4 (I think) nuts & bolts did the job.

An observation re the practicality of the non dog guard version. It would have been a lot better a couple of inches further back, giving a much wider "mouth" to get stuff in. I am assuming I've fitted it the correct way round. Off out to check. Confused Confused

I'll have to get one ordered when SWMBO is away. What are the thumb wheels for Del? Are they for fixing to the roof??

Yes, they fix the "basket" onto the top of the lower bit of the bracket. The basket sits on that rather than hanging from it.

And yes, I had fitted the wrong bracket to the wrong side Embarassed Embarassed Lot further back and can get much bigger things in there.

Already started populating it. Mr. Green Mr. Green

Can you fit larger things fitting them the wrong way or the right way?

Right way round is best, gives a much bigger aperture to get things in. The key is have the cutout in the bracket go round the reading light in the side. Thumbs Up

James, I won't be able to make the Brekkie this time. It's SWMBO birthday weekend. Del, how right you are, but once it's fitted it's fitted. Easier to ask for forgiveness ...
