D4 Cruise control Retrofit |
|
Hi, does anyone know if cruise control can be fitted to a D4 that is not equiped with it. Ie, buying parts needed from a dealer & enabling similar to the D3.
Any help appreciated.

Yes done with my poverty spec model. needs buttons fitting onto the wheel. (take air bag unit out. Not as scary as it sounds. fit the buttons then needs enabling with a faultmate in the cars ccf other members on here will be able to do it for a small fee. cost me less than £75 all in. make towing a lot easier on motorway sticking to speed limits etc. SSDD.

Have you got id number for the buttons from the dealer?
Are they an easy fit to the steering wheel?

Fitted to my D4 GS.
You need The Large One (here on the forum) for the switches, he had them on my doorstep in a couple of days & at an excellent price.
Initially I had them fitted by an indie who uses Autologic, despite much communication with Autologic themselves they were unable to get it working ....... on the bright side as they couldn't enable it they didn't charge me to fit it.
Geoff (here on the forum) enabled it with his faultmate in about 15mins.
Do it ...... I missed having it as all my FFRR's had it, it's awesome to have it back again. Nick
2010 D4 ....... now gone and replaced with a 05RRV Autobiography

It was about 6wks ago so not that long.
The indie in question was Berkshire Land Rover, a very professional outfit who also build custom Defenders. They spent nearly a whole day on it, had numerous conversations with the company that make Autologic (I was there for one of them) and were not able to do it.
When I booked it in they were confident they could do it & were very apologetic afterwards. Nick
