Bizzare? The complaint about objectifying and replacing humans?
Never used one but isn't the whole point of Ladies of the Night that they are only about the activity and not emotion etc? And replacing people for it, isn't that a good thing? Isn't it about doing stuff that others don't want to do with you?
Sounds like another anti campaign because they are against the whole subjet or is it a union thing to save jobs?

Asimov, as with most of these items, addressed this decades ago in his writings.
To some extent the same issue is addressed in Solaris (Not the US(A) film version tho').
However one wonders if it's yet another US(A) joke like the mock Campaign for Animal Modesty which advocated all animals be provided with suitable 'underwear' type garments?
