Base 2016 and swapping in HSE lights |
|
Hi,
Looking at grabbing a 2016 model in the US, and wondering if the complete headlights off an HSE (Xenon with the signature DRLs) would be an easy swap in? It's the only option Im interested in on the HSE so spending an extra $7,100 to upgrade from the base seems a little ridiculous.
Thanks!

Sorry, I can't help you there, but welcome all the same!
Have you costed out the replacement units themselves? You might find the cost of the lamps themselves to be a significant proportion of the difference and (unlike having an HSE) will add little, or any, value to the vehicle if you ever wish to part with it. Just a thought....

Hey thanks!
Yeah the replacements are gonna be around $1k, and thats for used one. Don't even want to look at new pricing. The resale thought is a good one though.

Hi there, yes an easy swap in but the ccf would need to be updated to let disco know you have higher powered lights that need extra juice.
