Cameron accuses May of “stitch up” – demands G E by Dec
David Cameron accuses Theresa May of “stitch up” – demands General Election by December.
It's chum-ish Mr Purge at it again:
''Former Prime Minister David Cameron has strongly questioned Theresa May's legitimacy as Prime Minister and demanded* she holds a General Election within six months.
"You should hold office because the people vote for you, not because your party has stitched up some deal. I say if someone becomes Prime Minister in the middle of a Parliament, within six months they have to hold an election." https://tompride.wordpress.com/2016/09/06/...-december/

2010. Cameroon is so last decade darling.
"Admittedly, Cameron made these comments in 2010, questioning the legitimacy of Labour Prime Minister Gordon Brown – but obviously he wouldn’t be so hypocritical to believe his demands should only apply to a Labour PM and not a Tory. "Never take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

He wants to bring home the huge majority they'd get and send Labour packing, that's why, and I can see the attraction, but the public don't want an election, and it's not a good time for one. Perhaps Mr Cameron will call for a referendum to find out if the public :
Do or don't want an election, and if it's
A good time, or not a good time, for one.
That would be a jolly jape.... Boris would like that
(Where's that £350 m / week for the NHS, please Mr BrExit.... will it be here soon, please? 'coz we needs it nah, Gov.)

David.....got it wrong
Accepted the need for a referendum....on Europe as part of the last election manifesto....a promise or pledge
They won the election
He then set a date....for the referendum
He went about trying to get a deal before......maybe he thought that this would eliminate the need for the vote..
Then started the campaign for remain....using scare tactics
Referendum was Brexit he resigns....because if the stance he took & what he said
May pops up - with no vote from the larger Conservative party ..... Maybe this upsets him
Now as a backbencher he is trying to manipulate things....election what for?
The current conservative government have to deliver two things & do more
1) honour the manifesto pledges....in entirety
2) deliver Brexit as per Mrs Mays promises
The other stuff....
Reverse a lot of the decisions are by Dodgy Dave & "Robin" Osbourne that have led to mistakes being made....such as Hinckley, the NHS debacle, plus a lot more...
Dodgy isn't going to lay down & illustrates the rifts & factions in the Conservatives...BREXIT - done properly.

It's not anti-Tory
It's PRO-sense, and the future of a united, United Kingdom - tho' with a Federal base to de-scale the centrality of the City State of London.
Many ppl have written again and again in these threads about the real NEED for a coherent opposition.
Yet you decide to attack one of the few who enter a contrary view to your own.
Some Cog-Dis there?
Can one take it that you're in favour of a One Party State - that party being a coalition of Tories, UKIP and other far right groupings?
Simple question.
Yes or No, as one frequent correspondent is always asking.

You are the British Ambassador = the Duke of Windsor, and I claim my reward.
And if you're NOT, then you're Sir Anthony Eden.
Or possibly Princess Margaret?
Or Fergie the Toe Sucked?
