Torque Converter Source .

I've had a quote from Bristol Transmissions of £450:00 + vat to supply a reconditioned TC . Are there any other sources that we can trust ? Thank you .

Just noticed your other post and you are on the Isle of Man as well

As my previous post I got my TC from Sussex Transmissions and Mylchreests fitted it for a fixed cost - I supplied the TC, oil and filter. My total cost was around about £1000. ZF Filter came from Sussex T and the auto box oil came from Motoworld in Springvalley Ind Est

The fixed price didn't alter as they said it was what Land Rover allowed to do the job and if it took them longer it was their problem - also having LR techs working on it took some off the worry out of getting the job done and possibly being stung with a huge bill

Some garages I asked for prices wouldn't give me a fixed price as they thought there was to many unknowns which didn't give me confidence in them

My TC was replaced by sister company next door. That has been fine and nice people to deal with. I also had a "tour" to see them refurb the TCs and came away thinking there cannot be much difference between new and refurb as the parts that could fail are all new.
