Roof Box
I'm considering getting a roof box for my 2012 Disco 4 HSE. Any recommendations please.

Thule make the LandRover branded one. Halfords have had some reasonable reviews and are a bit cheaper.
What size do you want? Do you want anything extra on the roof bars at the same time (like ski, bike, etc) as that determines the max size.
Anything in particular you want to put in the roof box - that might determine shape needed?
I've the Land Rover one for my D4 (picked up cheap second hand) and it fills the roof!Sill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders

Roof Box
Thanks for that. I don't plan to put anything big in it just the bits and bobs I have in the back of it just now as am getting a dog soon.

Take a look on roofbox.co.uk reviews and buying guide are really helpful. When I was buying a few years ago, found they were the cheapest. But if you don't mind 2nd hand, fair few on eBay, although I did see some sell for almost the buy new price, but that's the competitive bid eBay effect I suppose.
I have not yet put my box on my D4 (will be in a few weeks) but I am concerned about reaching it, and I am 6' 2"MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff
Mine is the Land Rover/Thule one that loads from the back. I put it on the roof as far back as possible then use the lower tailgate to stand to load it( with the upper tailgate closed before you lot start )Pot Noodle Challenge Winner 2011

I just stand on either the tail gate or the rear wheel. I have previously taken a step stool with me, but found it was more hassle than just standing on the rear wheel.
Anything big that I cannot take up as I stand on the wheel - I get SWMBO to pass to me once I am up Sill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders

I have had the Halfords one and now a Thule 900. With such a big box and tall car I really found it better to pay a little more and get one that can open either side, which the Thule does.
