HELP NEEDED: US/EU spec headlights on UK car
Has anyone any experience with fitting EU/US spec headlights to a UK vehicle?
I know the beam pattern throws light higher up the nearside, the driving overseas adjustment blocks this out, someone mentioned that the US spec doesn't have a higher beam pattern and is flat right across.
Any further detail on this? And would there be any fitting problems? The US ones are much cheaper than the UK spec and I actually like the orange indicators. RE tangoed!
Have searched for this subject, no results, shouldn't be duplicated.

From what I have found out, US spec lights will be a backward step, not so bright and poor light spread.
May look good to you in daylight and poor for you at night time.

Where did you read that washwipe? Seems odd they'd make lower quality lights for another market

Are the US spec one "E" marked? If they're not surely it will be illegal to fit them in this country Cheers Ian

Not sure, the seller claims to have fitted around 8 sets to UK cars so far. You'd think those people would be on this forum
