I'm finding the driver seating position in SWMBOS MY16 a problem when compared to my MY10. Apart from the seat being firmer due to have done 90k fewer miles with my fat on it, it appears that the seat doesn't go back as far and as a result if I drive it for more than about 60-90minutes in a stretch it agrivates my siatica - anyone else found similar. More importantly found a solution?
And DSL... no, not driving it is not an option LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Nobody else seems to have noticed and I got shot down for moaning about first world problems!
Thing is, not only does the MY16 seat not go back as far, but there's also less room (height) for your feet above the pedals. I can only assume those that haven't noticed have all got tiny feet !!!
I suppose, now that LR are just building cars for yummy mummy's and their little darlings, these things are to be expected... but I'd also love to find a solution. 2005 D3 HSE 2011 D4 Landmark 2016 D4 HSE Lux

Well in that case I'm glad it's not just me and when I get home I'll go about comparing the MY10 seat rails with the MY16.
As for the pedals, we also thought they were different, but offset further to the right than in the MY10.
Thanks for confirming it CC LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

I was going to suggest you swap it for my D3. Just done 2,500 miles to, around & back from Pyrenees and comfy as a comfy thing. Taking your well dodgy MY16 from you and giving you the old girl would be a sacrifice but one I couldn't live with.
not a chance mate. Quite happy with the D4, just need to tweak the seating - even if it means getting a set of older spec rails LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Did a 350 mile round trip in a 2016MY loan D4 earlier in the year & couldn't get the seating position the same as I have it in my 2010MY. Thought it was my imagination until I collected my car from the dealers, definitely able to move the seat more in my older car than I could in the new one.D4 - Stornoway Grey

Did anyone get further with this?
I've had to do a few long journeys recently and found that the fact that my seat won't go back as far is now causing some discomfort. It's very irritating, but I haven't had time to return to the dealers yet...

Thank you... bit confused as to why LR would update the seat to something that has noticeably less adjustment?
Next they'll be saying 'lets build a bigger car with less room and no split tailgate' !!! 2005 D3 HSE 2011 D4 Landmark 2016 D4 HSE Lux

I had a 65 plate Landmark as a loaner last week and simply couldn't get the seat into a comfortable position. If anything it felt like it was twisted or off centre so different issue to you. Bolsters were pushing harder on the right hand side of my back than the left.

Yes... I've felt that issue too
It really is very bad and I'm considering selling the car if I can't find a solution. No point spending that much for something that gives you back ache when driven. 2005 D3 HSE 2011 D4 Landmark 2016 D4 HSE Lux

Selling was exactly what I had to do with my first D3 with manual adjust seats, just couldn't get comfortable.
