Underside protection

Does anyone know if this part should be protected? It the bit where the fuel pump and I presume gear box os

normally there is plastic or thin metal cover between chassis cross-members

get on of ebay would be a few quid only

you want this part but not for that amount

I looked for one of these for a while and in the end just got a plate of 6mm aluminium and cut it to size - easy enough to do as its pretty much flat and a bit stronger than the plastic originals.

Hi

My 2007 D3 engine splash shield part fell off along the A303, made hell of a noise! now looking for new part but cant find. Any help on locating a replacement would be helpful. The ones I have found are £70+
