Stalling with a difference!!

My 05 Disco 3 TDV6 2.7 has progressively developed a stalling problem.
It only occurs on "sharp" right hand turns such as sharp T junctions or tight roundabouts.
It can be quite dangerous in traffic as the only warning I get is the steering "yanks" to the right, then the power is gone and I coast to a halt safely.
The car does start moments later after a couple of attempts. And it doesn't seem to matter if it's hot or cold only when I'm turning the wheel sharply to the right.
Any thoughts suggestions appreciated
Thanks
Paul

Don't turn sharply to the right Thumbs Up

Would be worthwhile checking the main battery earth, and the engine-chassis-body earth cable Thumbs Up

When it cuts out, does the dash stay lit?
Any prior warnings?

Ha Ha Mikey
Good advice but not very practical Rolling with laughter
Okay, so had to go out this evening and now it isn't just turning right!!
It's turning left, driving straight and even going downhill!!
But this times, (these times!) I noticed the following:
The battery warning light flickered just before the engine stalled
A warning message appeared saying "H.D.C not working" however I was on the flat at the time.
I will check earth leads etc in the morning but would like any sensible suggestions..... Bow down
Thanks
Thumbs Up Mikey

Im with DM
Sounds like Battery related problem, connections or battery itself
Had a loose positive lead on last car which did the same. Tightened connections no more problems
Hope its an easy fix Thumbs Up

The plot thickens!!
Ok so cleaned off battery connections (they were awful!!) and thought solved.....
BUT NO!!! Now car stalls turning and when driving straight esp when revs down low.
Thought I was getting somewhere then yesterday and this morning car completely loses power, but rev counter shows still doing 1500-2000rpm when it is obviously not. Have to coast to safe halt at which point battery light etc comes on. Switch off car, wait only a moment and car starts on first or second switch.
Car seems better when cold, but perhaps that's just me hoping it's gonna be ok?
Ordered new fuel filter anyway as don't think it's ever been replaced (mileage now 127k miles).
Oil around top of shut off air valve and MAF. Don't know if anything clogged up??
Help!!
Btw no codes showing when code reader linked up.

Stick a multimeter across the battery, without engine running and posts the reading.
Do the same with engine running and again, post the reading. Thumbs Up

12.7 ish without engine running; 14.3ish with engine running....

We are now thinking fuel and therefore fuel filter, so going to be changed as a matter of course

(But thanks anyway......phew, probably not expensive alternator replacement)

But then my pal put computer diagnostics on got the following codes etc
P132B Turbocharger Boost Control A Performance intermittent
P006A MAP Mass or Volume Air Flow Correlation Intermittent
P061E Internal Control module brake signal performance Intermittent (Rear Brake discs and pads being changed this weekend anyway
P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Intermittent

Didn't know whether these were old codes so cleared them, then restarted engine, ran for a few minutes pressing accelerator then releasing, looked for new codes and nothing came up??

Confusing or what??

You will need to wait on it cutting out before it will log a code, however, from you previous post, I expect you may find it is a crank sensor/trigger issue if the engine speed is incorrect...

There was a batch of wonky triggers/sensors on the early cars when they first came out

UPDATE
Crank sensor was fine......Wiring chafed and shorting out on various other parts of the car!!
Because some t**s p*t didn't re-attach the wiring when working on the car previously, unfortunately I have no chance of finding out who that was!!

So the moral of this story is, if you have similar problems check the wiring first!!
