Cruise Control activation in the North West?
Morning All, is there anybody that can activate my CC in the North West please? I have fitted the new CC switch and need it activating. I can meet you of easier? I am in Sandbach (CW11 4HS) in the week and Middleton-by-Wirksworth (DE4 4LB) in Derbyshire at weekends. I have a Disco 4 2.7 Manual, so a bit of a rare beast. D4 - Stornoway Grey

Okay here's an update. I had my local land rover indi try and active the CC at the weekend and they couldn't get it to work. They have advised me that it is possible that the switch (which is second hand from a 2014 D4) Could be locked to the original car? All of the other functions on the switch work as expected so I'm not totally convinced that this is the case. My D4 is a bit unusual as it is a early TDV6 2.7 Manuel, but I believe that the D3 2.7 manual was available with CC was it not? Any ideas folks? I do a lot of motorway driving and really miss having Cruise Control!!D4 - Stornoway Grey

Well... A BIG thumbs up to 'beanie' who activated my cruise control last Friday. Top fella turned up at my house and did the job very quickly, and for a very sensible price.
So next time your Stealer says that it can't be done, reach out to the folks on the forum that "know whet they are doing"... Better still, reach out before you even consider taking you're car to the Stealer..!!!D4 - Stornoway Grey

Hi,
I take the opportunity of this topic for a question:
If I buy of eBay the cruise control switch can that be fitted and work on my Disco 4 2012 SVD6???
Reading above I guess so but it would be nice to be sure.

Hi Nick, I would say yes. My D4 is an MY2009 and I bought a Discovery Sport steering wheel with Cruise Control fitted of the Bay of thieves.D4 - Stornoway Grey
