Gonna be putting new rear callipers, discs and pads on my D3 during the week.
Obviously I will need some brake fluid to bleed the new callipers in.
I know it's dot 4 spec but is there anything else the spec should be...or will any dot 4 be ok.
Cheers 05 D3 SE

The manual states DOT 4 Class 6 which is as rare as RHS. Renault use it I think.
So I put brembo premium in mine. 750ml used
You could probably change the rear calipers without needing any fluid to be honest, but a good time to change it all out and bleed the fronts too.

You can use DOT 5.1.
The same ISO 4925 and it's pretty common.

Does this mean standard Dot 4 is the wrong fluid. 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

I was using ATE Super Blue until it got banned for being the wrong colour. I would use it every other change as you could clearly see when the new fluid came through IID PRO

Interesting. Blue brake fluid would be nice.
" Unfortunately due to EU & US law brake fluid can no longer be supplied in blue."

I don't know what you guys have easily available on the shelves over there, but Pentosin DOT 4 LV is plentiful over here and fits the bill. The Pentosin website claims that their Super DOT 4 fluid should be used for all Land Rovers, but if you look at the specs, their DOT 4 LV is the only one that meets the ISO 4925 Class 6 spec which Land Rover calls for in the Disco 3. The LV = low viscosity = faster ABS cycle time.
