Game of Thrones series six thread

Okay, I resisted for long enough. Now Jon snow has resurrected, how do you think the plot will evolve?

And Daenerys, apart from being GOT best bit of eye candy, will her Dragons come to the rescue?

Think in the end Jon snow and Daenerys will get together. The "song of fire and ice" thing i think will link to Jon Snow(ice) to Daenerys (fire)

but not while after we see Cersei and her pet mountain go on a rampage and finish off half the cast Shocked
Not sure what will happen to Tyrion and in the new series there seems to be more attention on Arya Stark?

Brave man, I began to think there wasn't any GOT fans here, or not many that would admit to it anyway. Whistle

I think you've hit the nail on the head, the only other thing I can see coming about is Tyrian being a commander and obviously in league with Jon Snow and Daenerys.

I think we all want to see Cersei and Jamie run amoke with the Giant, slicing up the High Sparrow and his followers.

As for Ayra, she has a part to play, but not so clear cut. I am not sure Sandor Clegane is dead.

Likewise, you have something brewing with Theon Greyjoy and Sansa Stark, maybe the demise of Ramsay Bolton? Bow down

Evidently, we've basically caught up with the books, so here on in will be interesting. I don't know how many more seasons they can run.

We resisted GOT until season 4 came out and couldn't understand what all the fuss was about so bought 1-4 box set, watched it all over a few weeks.. 50% of it's good, rest is tosh Laughing

Have watched s5 & watching 6 though Embarassed

Not enough violence in the later series Laughing

Hah, the sex and violence of the early series has now been replaced by 'serious' acting for real grown ups. Innit.

Still, like the books there are just far too many characters being followed and by paying attention to all of them stops any of them having a decent spell on screen.

I've got to say if everyone is available to be brought back to life by some Red bint who's 400 years old, why the hell haven't the Lannisters sorted out Joffrey/ Tywin? Or the Starks just got Eddard back at the beginning and everyone goes their own way. The whole bringing people back thing makes the entire story line of betrayals and murders completely pointless.

Will keep watching, but what's George Martin going to do with the last two books? He's spread the story so wide it's going to be almost impossible to finish. Ah well.

The writing seems weaker in the latest series. Watched E03 last night and for the first time i felt like there was a lot of filler in so.e scenes. Pointless jokes, odd edits etc. Still enjoyable of course. Jon and Deanery makes sense.

Wife didn't like the earlier series, too much violence and nookie, would find something else to do when it was on. She started watching 5, now watches 6 avidly, but says she only likes the Jon Snow storyline. Rolling Eyes

Hi Dundonian

Didn't see this first time around but both myself and wife love the series as much to say we are probably addicted.

Had a trip at the beginning of the month to Ireland and did the GOT tour ourselves. Dark Hedges (roadway to kings landin) iron islands where Reek was from and took a flight over the studios where they filmed some of the white walker battles.

Arya is going to be heavily involved in this series I think and Bran as we've already seen his flashbacks. It gonna kick off Laughing

Flying over the studio but couldn't make out what draw bridge this was we think it's Castle Black

Iron Islands

Bloody love it.

Finished Ep3 Series 6 on catch up last night. What day/time is it broadcast as may watch it live as it were!
When's the next book due out too? Years since I read them (before HBO started anyway). Find it incredible that filming has caught up with the books. Fantastic series though.
