Morning guys.
i have a problem,
this morning when i was out the disco suddenly cut out briefly then cut back in again
thought it was just a glitch but then it did it again and flashed up ENGINE SYSTEM FAULT, still starts and runs just sometimes dies as if its out of fuel.
at the moment i have removed the windscreen trims and the scuttle as i have the wiper motor out for repair
i am guessing with the downpour we had yesterday there has probably been some ingress to the electrics,
through the trim clip holes am i right ?
if so is the best course of action to obviously seal the holes , but also just to let it dry out or do i need to trace it ?
Cheers

You need to dry it out quickly,if it's got in to the main ECU it could short it out causing further damage
Check all the connections behind the battery for water ingress.

well after my post this morning i went out to it and it would not start , started panicking then , it was parked against the caravan so i couldn't get right to the fuse box but sprayed it with displacement spray and left it replaced all the trims (closing the gate now the horse has bolted) in case it rains again,
after a while i went out and still wouldn't go , checked if fuel was getting thru then left it a bit more, then it eventually started and has been ok since,
as advised by Flack
i have now removed battery and looked at all plugs, luckily no sign of any water or moisture but i sprayed them with water displacement spray anyway
hope it was just a glitch and doesnt return
