Remove Ad Blue system. Can it be done ?
Hello,
We are building an expedition Disco 4, so also with coil springs. Most simple model possible.
But because of long trips, where no Ad Blue is available, we need to remove this system from the car.
Also the Ad Blue tank is mounted where the big extra fuel tank should be build in. But that is not the biggest issue. It is just impossible for my customer to take 150 litres of Ad Blue in his car.
Can this be done ?
How ?
thanks,
Kind regards,
Wouter

God knows, but I doubt it without serious modding.
Doesn't a fully topped up ad blue give you about 13,000 miles plus it doesn't take oodles of the stuff to top it up, a few litres?

According to Land Rover you should get 9,000 - 17,000 miles out of one tank of AdBlue and a tank is 17 litres.
Just how long is the trip they are planning on doing?

Yes it can be done as effectively you are configuring the vehicle for a market that does not require an adblue system.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Why not get a coiler and put it on KingSprings or similar in the first place? Sound like too much hassle to get more modern car and downgrade it during prep?
And like others stated adblue should last around 17K (in theory) although I got low level warning after only 9900 plus miles. Having 3 or 4 litres in the cabin gives extra 3K miles and filling up is easy.
150 liters of Adblue? Is he going around the globe trice in a Discovery? He would not have enough space for spares not mentioning adblue
Or get a Rubicon?!
