Ok so for months I have used my phone with the Bluetooth and that's fine.
Suddenly it has started to say 'phone removed' after around 20 seconds of having the car turned on.
I have not changed my phone, car, settings or anything..... What's going on?!

Sometimes they just do.... Have you had the updated BT module (do you have Phonebook on the radio screen normally?)
You can try removing the battery cables, touching them together for 20 seconds and then reconnect. That will reset all the ECU's.
If its never been updated, then I can swap your BT module out for you. will fix the problem and give you your phonebook on the radio screen. Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks for the reply.
I think I got the update from you actually? Around a year or so ago?
It's driving me mad.

Try the hard reset then, and delete the pairing on your phone, switch your phone off completely and then switch back on and try again. Bodsys Brake Bible

I am experiencing the same problem - phone removed after about 20 seconds of starting, driving me nuts.
It's been working great till about a month ago.
Anyone managed to sort this out yet? 2009 D3 HSE
