Squeaky bush

After just 2 weeks of getting the D3 back from a prolonged and expensive stay in the garage to get an MoT I find I have a squeaky rear suspension arm bush. I suspect the only real fix is to replace the arm totally, but someone suggested I quieten it down with WD40 - I thought this softened rubber and would hasten the collapse of the bush?

Does it squeak when you rock the car from side to side? If so it could be the hub bushes rather than the arms.

And, no I wouldn't use WB40 - a silicon lubricant might work.

My D3 developed a terrible squeak. It squeaked with the slightest movement.
In my case it was the anti-roll bar bushes.

I had a problem with squeaky bush once Laughing

Joking aside do not use any oil based product it will perish the rubber, although if it's squeezing it must be moving and best to replace it, simply squirting water on it will prove it is in fact that bush.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

+1 on the antiroll bar bushes, silicon spray helped for a week until changing the bushes

Now I have a squealing handbrake as well as the squeaky / clonking bush and the rough front hubs. The faults are developing faster than I can fix them as the car is in daily use. Maybe it should be treated as a limited mileage hobby car? So far in 1 years ownership it's needed more work than both of my previous Discos (1+2) put together over a 10 year period and 10 times the miles covered.
