Q. How does Brakes4Life work?
Brakes4Life is a lifetime brake offer exclusive to Halfords Autocentres. It's quite simple - you pay for the first set of replacement brake pads, then the rest are free, forever. This goes for any car you buy in the future too.
If you need brake pads fitted for a new car, simply bring the car in to register for the lifetime replacement. Or you can transfer your lifetime brake replacements to the new owner when you sell your car.

If this was something you wanted to use then why would you transfer it when you sell the car as you can keep it active on your replacement car!Series 1 V8

Thanks lespes
I don't understand what's in it for Halfrauds. I understand it's worth a gamble if it expires on change of ownership as many will only ever have one set of pads / discs.
What am I missing? (Sorry if I sounds sceptical ........ but I am )

I can see the benefit of joe public using this offer,
Would they use crap brake pads though?
Grunders, as like the old days of kwik , just refuse any other works and get it done properly elsewhere ,
So does seem a bargain

I'm also particular on the quality of Discs and Pads, free for life, doubt very much if they will be a quality product, cheap as chips.

Recently Brought a car for my son who's just passed his test , this included the halfords brakes for life amongst the documents as it had recently had new pads from there , always wondered if it was transferable , does previous owner have to sign it over then or is it automatic as long as you are new owner with log book etc

Those that have not visited the new Halfords Service Centres should do so even if its just for one of their free brake or A\C Checks. This is not the store based car park fitting. They really are state of the art workshops with all the latest tech, quality parts, and from my experience very well trained and knowledgeable technicians. Ultra clean polished floors with customer viewing galleries. They mean business so maybe don't knock until you try it I think they will take a big sector of the service market.

Brake Fluid Change for £37 is good too.
