can anyone tell me what wing modifications are needed to fit d4 headlamps to my d3.

You either need to fit D4 wings or cut your D3 ones. Loads have done it so shouldn't be hard to get some help. And as mentioned you'll need grill and bumper as well. D4 MY15 SE TECH
D3 gone but never forgotten.
