I have to say I bloody love this forum!!
My missus was driving the disco yesterday and had the parking brake fault come up after driving a short distance and no gear indicator!
I've got up after nights today found a post describing the exact symptoms as mine which indicated it was the XY sensor on the gearbox. So I recalibrated my XY sensor as suggested starting with reverse and then all the others in low range then switching off till it goes to sleep and hey presto its solved the problem!!
I think ultimately my clutch is on its way out but I can plan for that properly now!
