Butchered Wheel Arch Screws

I need to sort my rear parking sensors so had a look at taking the rear bumper off this morning, only to find I can't get the wheel arch trim off as someone has butchered the existing screws. What's the best way to get these out?

People say drill the head off but never sure how that works in practice, surely it would be better to use a dremel to cut the head off if that was a solution?

Cut head off, then sort mess afterwards.
Use stainless screws with stainless penny repair washers to hide any damage.

^^ I've used a 1mm thick cutting disc in the angle grinder to cut a slot, then use a big straight screwdriver Thumbs Up
