The car must go to sleep after a dip switch has been altered for it to take effect.
More info needed really, what model version is the GVIF?- operation of DS vary with model version. Have you got the rear camera connected to the grey rear camera input? - if you have DS 5 needs to be on, you must make this adjustment with power off and car asleep or it will have no effect.
Make double sure you have got the LR cable in correctly not upside down, it can be fitted both ways and comes out easily, this is the one that fits into the rear of the satnav under the seat.

Hi Bodsy,
The camera worked ok straight into the sat nav screen Shocked

Have you got the remote "eye" cable plugged in and a good battery fitted in the remote correctly?-The parking lines cannot be set up without the remote working.
The second hidden menu to set lines and camera up is accessed slightly different on different versions, try pressing menu>up or down>menu in quick succession, or holding the "left" arrow for 2-3 seconds.
Beware when using the camera first time as it is not in the centre of the car and the view is deceptive, I positioned mine in the number plate at a slight angle to overcome this.
Do not be tempted to connect the can bus input change switch, it has disadvantages, I mounted the micro switch on the dash in line with the lock/unlock, park sensors off, etc switches.
Although you have got it working with the dip switches they are not correct, you may find you have all the av active(note I say active rather than on/off, you will see why later), which means when changing an av input from say camera 1 to TV or front camera you will have to press the change av input micro switch several times instead of just once as the button works on a forward rotary system i.e. input 1-2-3-4>1. You will have to turn the inputs off one at a time (2-3-4)by trial and error, remember to let the system go to sleep after each change, but if you are only using a reverse camera it will not matter. It gets quite complicated because technically the dip switch has to be turned off for an AV input to work, but the off position is down on some versions:shock: hope that makes sense.
You don't need the rear camera on to adjust the lines, but you do need it on to adjust the line of view; up,down left, right, larger, smaller, it will be logical when you get into the menu.
I have TV, MP4 video, DAB radio, and front and rear camera installed, I did this about 3/4 years ago and havent touched it since, it works extremely well with very good picture quality, I am working from memory.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
