People are unbelievable

A running race was held by us today, the bluebell run. It was very well organised and the people who lay it on liaise with local people so as little disruption as possible is caused.

However this morning as I'm getting back from walking the dogs around the field I have to go through a hedge and walk back up the drive. Thankfully I had the dogs on leads as a bloke ran past up the drive towards the house. So I politely questioned what he was doing. "I'm warming up" I'm told, so I pointed out that this was private property. "I realise that", he says "But I can warm up can't I?" I politely told him no, "Why not?" was his reply. "Well you can, but I'm about to run the dogs and they will chase you and they will bite you!"

Is it me???

Yes, it is, in fact I try not to leave my own land as much as possible! As the dogs are whippets I don't think Usain Bolt would have got far tbh!

My mate's house has got a public pathway running along the front of his garden - many times he's caught people 'just wanting to have a look at his garden / house / horse (when he had one) / dogs' - not potential thieves just folk out for a walk - cheeky bleeders

Particular pet hate of mine is people like this. Our cctv on the drive is set to motion detect so i see all approaches to the gates. The amount of people that look from the path and then choose to walk up the 7m pull in before the gates (which is clearly my private drive) and proceed to gawp through the bars at the house for some time is surprising. Some even have a random stab at the Gate keypad!

I watched a woman go into my field the other day, I wandered in and shouted her, no response, as I got closer I asked her what she was doing and replied "Walking my dogs" no Censored Sherlock. Once I politely explained the footpath was not in the field she appologised and left looking a little disgruntled.
