New Nanocom user
Before I was involved in a accident today I collected a used Nanocom Evolution that I've purchased from somebody on here.
The D3 is now going to be at the body shop for a while so I won't have a chance to try the unit out, but I have some questions to get me started.
The unit has the main cable to plug it into the car, but not a USB cable, I'm assuming I can use the one I use for my camera that has the correct small USB plug ion the end?
Being already licenced for a D3 can I just plug it into my car and start playing?
Thanks

Yep usb from camera will work if it's the right size plug. In an emergency I've used the lead for charging my PS3 controller in the past. You will be able to use it witjout registering it BUT you won't be able to do any firm wear updates CCF editing etc. BB are real friendly bunch and you will have no trouble registering it and keeping it up to date.

As above, I use the USB from my garmins as its already plugged in to the desktop. You will need to register the device so you can gain access to Genesis

Nothing stopping you from reading any fault codes and looking at any live data

Hi all!
Any "USB A to Mini USB B" that supports data transfer will do.
Just note that some USB leads only have the power channels to charge certain devices and are not able to perform data transfer. Tks for the email, this has been received and I wish and hope you'll receive an AAA repair service on the Disco.
