Morning
An excellent easy to follow post. Job done with ease. Thanks!
One question thought on the capacity, is it possible to overfill the box?
The vehicle was level when drained and refilled, given I had 2 litres I couldn't resist temptation and I filled it to the fill plug rather than measure 1.5 litre. This means it seems to have taken slightly more than the recommended capacity.
Does this have the potential to cause issue with pressure in the T-case or should everything be OK?
Thank in advance MY16 D4 Landmark SDV6 (The Ice Maiden)

Checking the fluid I have left and given I didn't waste any it appears I've put in 1.6 litres
Any thoughts MY16 D4 Landmark SDV6 (The Ice Maiden)

Safety Alert! If you have air suspension you should only work under the car with the suspension at access height (lowest setting) and the battery disconnected. So, unless you have an inspection pit or a vehicle lift (or you are exceptionally small), you will have to raise the vehicle on ramps to change transmission fluids. I have worked on my Discovery 3 for about 5 years and I can confirm that it does unexpectedly lower itself (with ignition off) if it is not at access height.
