North West rust treatment
Hi guys, I've been searching on the forum for a North West company ideally near Lancaster to clean and treat the underside of my D3. It seems like a few have gone bust and I've read the bad reviews about some so I'm lost as to where to take it. I've attached a couple of pics which show generally what it's like, every time I ask at dealers I'm told it's only surface rust and not to worry, opinions and advise please.

I just put citric acid at a ratio of 50g. Per 1 litre water and rinse after a given time and no longer than 24 hours
Do some test patches as always
And protect as appropriate thereafter

There is Rustmaster in Knutsford which has had good recommendations in the past. Some concerns as to if it is still in business last time I looked. No very recent reviews.

Looks like Rustmaster in Knutsford have gone, their web site has been down for a while.
Shame really, they were good, I used them to do my D3.

Yes it looks like Rustmaster isn't an option for me, there must be someone else in the North West doing this. I think it's mostly surface rust and even considered having a go myself but don't feel comfortable going underneath the car even if it's on stands or ramps. I really wanted a thorough job doing.
