Timed Climate / Park Heater enable via CCF Edit IID
My First Post on this forum !
I'm looking to get Timed Climate enabled via CCF edit. Not bothered about remote/fob, just timed is fine. I may invest in a tool soon, but if anyone knows of a member or contact with CCF edit capability (multi Vehicle licence) within 20 miles of Solihull or Redditch (and know what they are doing !) I'd happily pay.
Does that work on a 2008 car? Thought it was only pre 06 that had timed capability?____

Ah yes. Must read posts more closely. I was looking at the OP's Profile which says D3 2008...____

Oops, will update my profile....
Thanks for PMs I'll reply soon. Trying to keep fairly local just in case the worst happens.
In Dec I 'invested' in a micky mouse BT OBD reader (£5) and 'Torque' android free app when my Engine Light came on, which told me the 'MAF B' had broke. Swapped MAF B physically with MAF A and the fault code changed to 'MAF A' broke. Bought new OE MAF from Euro Car Parts (£86) and saved my main dealer quote of £350 !
Broken MAF was charred inside, not like soot, but like a diode or resistor had fried. Working MAF was spotless so I guessed EGRs were OK.
However if I leave the OBD Reader plugged in sometimes lights go berzerk all over dash, thought I'd broke the CCF/EMU. Took it out and all back to normal. Hence bit nervous about tinkering, but I know IID safe in the rights hands.

Hi, did you get this done?
Does the CCF edit enable the full timed climate? I am interested in this to preheat the engine before starting in order to reduce wear, I'm not worried about preheating the cabin.

Drove past Amersham today as well!
Yes, the remote kit and enabling will also give you the on screen timed climate.
Or you can have the timed climate on its own without the remote kit.
Can do it either way Bodsys Brake Bible

My car is still in Land Rover's parts bins at the moment, due at the dealer's on 6th May. Given it will be new, does a CCF edit to enable timed climate affect the warranty at all?
Cheers

In my experience I've done the ccf edit on 3 new cars and have never had a problem with warranty Cheers Ian

Given that LR now sell a kit (£419+vat plus fitting and enable for this exact feature), I can't see how it would affect warranty.
Newest car I've done it on so far was about 125 miles old. No ones asked me to do it at a dealers forecourt yet..... Bodsys Brake Bible
