Today, i got a shock as the little screen on the dashboard started telling me who was calling and who i was calling.
not sure why its just started doing it.
ANyone know?

So its meant to do it so why has it just started, has anyone else seen this.

are you using the BT or cradle for your phone connection? is it displaying just the number or alpha-tags?

I use a cradle and a Nokia 6230.
SO for example it will display 121 for voice message or if i add the number into the contacts it displays the name i gave it.
Because the cradle took a week to come the BT did not display at all on the little screen.

sounds like it's downloaded your phonebook - this only works with the cradle

BT doesn't - cradle does - sort of.
If you programme a number into the onboard module, then the number will display (but not the name, as it cannot do that). If you have the cradle fitted, access to your phone or SIM memory is enabled - along with the numbers and names therein. When you received, or make, a call, the number and name display on the message centre LCD alternately.
The phonebook, as such, is not downloaded to the car - it just uses the data from the phone.
