OS Maps Subscription & OS Map App

Has anyone tried this out?

and the App...

You can apparently download maps to devices and then record / plot routes for export.

I use Anquet OSM, it does have some limitations, probably main one being you need a PC to plot r outed, but there is a phone and tablet app as well and the have frequent very very good sales, like 6 HD maps for £6

I have it on my phone, but use it more just as a map rather than downloading routes. You can certainly input routes on the device, but I don't know about doing them on another device to download to a mobile one.

I use it a fair bit. You can also import GPX files or download routes like the ones available for Julia Bradbury walks on TV. Seems to work well on my iPad. Thumbs Up I've also go it on my phone, but don't use it on there much.

Just double checked and they're on the view ranger.com site. (Different mapping app).
But the os suppbscription is worthwhile at about £18/year for full uk 1:50/25/10 scale. Thumbs Up

Excellent. I'll give the OS one a try for a year. At that price you cant go wrong.

I'm doing some green laning next weekend and my plan is to not only see where we are but to record the route as we do it on my ipad and save it as a gpx.
