Disco 3 satnav not showing any navigation |
|
Guys,
Looking at a LR3 in the US to buy. It has the SATNAV screen and shows the 4x4 display. It has the DVD drive under the seat. However, although the 'Home' screen shows the NAVIGATION button, when it's 'pressed' nothing happens; ie it doesn't go to navigation. New one on me.
Can anyone recommend a solution to try?
Thanks. PAGODA

1st port of call would be a hard reset.

Not sure if you will get your symptoms, but is there a disc in the drive?

Will give the hard reset a go. The disc is present, which suggests the infernal grub bins could be goosed. PAGODA

Also having troubles. Mine Shows "not a map DVD" message. Obviously it is a map DVD.
The CD player has also started playing up.

By way of an update, a hard reset didn't work. However, I found that the sunroof drains were blocked and one of the drain tubes have rotten away. The carpets were saturated. 9 days - genuinely - to dry the car out, and 8L of water. (I also stumbled across an easy fix for the drivers side hose that avoids having to do the hand inside the wheel arch thing - I'll post on that later). Anyway, I suspect this may be a contributing factor as to why the satnav is screwed. But screwed it is. Even with dry carpets it still doesn't work. I suspect it's the internals. I'd like to replace the whole head unit with something completely new but need to do some more reading as I understand that on cars with BT and nav is isn't that easy. Typical. PAGODA
