Thanks for the tips and sheer disbelief from some, But how to do the hard reset??

The "keyless" system does not always happen so there is a problem with the signal from the car to the handset. As I know D3's don't have keyless entry the 2008 Mazda 6 I had did and know how this works.

I will attempt to take a video of the problem and upload if this will help satisfy the curious or non-beleivers.

I don't think anybody is doubting you have a problem but it's generally believed the D3 never had keyless entry which is why there is curiosity and disbelief. Rolling Eyes
If by referring to "keyless" you actually mean remote unlocking, ( where you press a button on a remote fob to unlock the car ) there is a known fix for this if your remote has stopped operating the central locking. How do you replace the bulb ? I've looked and it'd soldered to brass wires.
