Kielder Safari 2016
I've had a few pm's from people wanting to know what dates the Kielder 4x4 Safari will be running in 2016. At this moment in time we only have one date confirmed which is Saturday February the 27th.
All the other dates for the year have been submitted and I'm waiting on the Forestry Commission to confirm them, which should be any day now (hopefully )
For those that don't know The Kielder 4×4 Safari is operated to raise funds for charity. The Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team was established in the 1960s and provide an irreplaceable service that now extends to urban areas supporting the police in the search for missing vulnerable persons.
The service they provide is invaluable to both the hill-walker & climber as well as the wider community. Taking part in the Kielder 4×4 Safari is a great way to support this worthy cause.
The NNPMRT new website is now up and running, you can visit it by clicking this link www.nnpmrt.orgCheers Ian

I presume these are pretty easy routes on established forest tracks.
I have a mate with a Nissan X-Trail who would be interested in a run out, if his car would be okay...

Hi JMack, you are correct the routes we use are pretty easy routes on established forest tracks, I'm pretty sure we have had an X-Track on a previous event so your friend wont have a problem. Cheers Ian
