Epb jams again x2
Thought i did all by the book second time but it jammed again.
First time i adjusted right side it was just a couple of turns om the cogwheel tog get it breaking drum stuck. Expected it almost tog jam that first time.
I drove a few miles to let it just move.
Rostat when i put fuse in and engaged the epb it jammed. Emergency relatch then.
Dismantled epb and unwound it. Connected it back to the latch. Readjusted shows. But it did jam again!
Any ideas? Have not dismantle drums today. Work for tomorrow.Disco 3 2008 man SE

When mine jammed on, i noticed one of the brake shoe springs had deformed and was holding the shoe closer to the drum than it should have. I suppose that could affect adjustment and cause it to jam? Did you do the bedding in procedure too? Something like 9 times of 19 mph and using just the epb to stop?

At least the emergency release worked for you. Mine wouldn't budge despite straddling the centre console and pulling like I was in a strong man competition. At one point I thought my head would go through the roof if the bar I was using snapped.
It is a nightmare when they jam on, I feel your pain. Good luck with it.

The unit seems to be working anyway. But it locks the brakes and gives error. Then i havet to pull the fuse to unlock the brakes.
Tomorrow ill change battery because the old one is crappy. Theres an errorcode which my elm327 found telling that some procedure test i not followed through. Maybe the bedding in that i did not fullfilled?Disco 3 2008 man SE

Tried to access the epb yesterday. Managed to run epb service mode and " sequence after pulling em cable" Motor runs and engages but i get error code on bus connection or failure in the om/off-button. Read about some connections in a junction in nsr wheelarch. But what medans NSR? Or can it be maladjustment causing wrong values from the tension cell?Disco 3 2008 man SE

Writing this almost a year after the last adjustment that screwed the brakes.
I had the epb working (no cable or ground faults) and got rid of all error codes with delphi cars.
The last thing to test was to get the embedd brakes. Did not do that, just tried to brake in slow speed. I got stuck 50m from my garden and was able to get home on low gear reversing only. It has been standing there since.
Guess i have to get things loose to remove the brake drums and check...Disco 3 2008 man SE
