D4 has keyless start so you don't need a second key ...youll still have the first on you Thumbs Up

I should point out I have keyless entry aswell ...so it unlocks when I grab the door handle .

Not sure if it would work if your relying on pressing the keyfob ( d3 used to disable the keyfob if engine is running )

just try it , but leave the window open the first time ...you can unlock the car then if the remote dosent work Thumbs Up

the D4 key fob will NOT unlock the doors with the engine running. Embarassed

While bored waiting on the wife and inlaws one morning, I did what Wiggs suggested and started the car, put drivers window down, closed the door lent in and locked the doors then put the window up. I near died when they all came out of the house as I was frantically pressing the unlock button on the fob to be greeted with a beep beep rather than the unlocking clunk. Thankfully I then remembered the emergency key and door handle lock and casually explained this clever "feature"......

Just confirmed mine does as Wiggs can lock the car with it running and then put the drivers window up and car is all locked secure with no key in the car but car running. Car will not unlock unless you have the key in your pocket, as per Wiggs mine has keyless entry
