Heated Seat Dead or just down?

Hey guys I have a 05 LR3 HSE 115k miles.

My Drivers heated seat was working fine, then one day seemed to get hotter than normal (my tush was burnin up!) Now doesnt work, all other seats work fine. Amber lights still come up if button is pressed. Did I blow a fuse? Getting too hot trip something, should I try just a hard reset? Any help is appreciated, its -10 in Fargo ND today!

Mine is the same, I've tried to fix it think the connections are ripped and disconnected in the seat itself need to take it apart and see.

The exact same thing has just happened with mine. I hope to find some time this weekend to examine Smile

Try removing and reinserting the relevant fuses/relays (can't remember which but will be in the handbook or on this site somewhere) in the engine bay fusebox, sorted mine when it did the same.

When this happened to me it was the heating pad that had failed.

It costs about £30 for a new pad and a bit of colourful language trying to get the seat cover off!

Not meaning to thread hijack... Does anyone know how much the base leather covers are ? I'm thinking of replacing my heating pad and the base leather and foam all in one go.
