It's properly broken now..........

Been having some 'issues' with the EAS recently, the amber warning light & bong, and FL10 popped - but since replacing FL10, and checking the main feed wiring between the engine bay and the compressor everything seemed to have been ok - although occasionally we got the 'vehicle raising slowly' message when going from normal to offroad height just after starting the engine (which I assume points to the compressor not being able to keep up with the demand for air?), I also checked all the EAS pipework I could get to for leaks.......none found Sad

This morning SWMBO calls me to say that she'd got a selection of dash lights & messages - parking brake failure and some others, but the car seemed to be driving ok........until 5 mins later when it all stopped - no lights, no hazards, no nothing !

Presumably the alternator has gone, and it's probably cooked the (nearly new) Exide Premium as well Big Cry Big Cry

My question is this (thinking I'm peeing into the wind though) - could a failing alternator be the reason why the EAS was playing up, or am I just into the season of bad luck ?

Thanks,
 Jim

More likely that the increased power demand from the EAS plus the extra demand of winter driving pushed a tired alternator over the edge.

Thumbs Up
