Free First Service
As compensation for the inconvenience caused by not having my A/C drain pipe fitted correctly, resulting in soaked carpets, and being given my car back when the carpets had not been dried out as they had promised to do, I have been offered the first service free of charge.
The Disco has been sorted and valeted and everything seems fine so how much do you guys think that this compensation is worth, considering that the service will be about a year away with around 5000 miles on the clock.
Aren't the first three years of service covered or is that just here in the states? Had mine going on 9 months, 15,000 miles and fairly happy. Did have the dreaded suspension fault but the new compressor is holding up.....so far.2005 LR3 HSE

15,000 mile service (or first service) is about £300, if that helps put a value on your compensation. Coffeecup

Well that's not bad.
Yeah! us Brits tend to bend over and take from behind as regards to services, of all kinds, and prices in the UK.
Porsche warranty is 2 years over here whilst it is 5 in the States and look how cheap your gas is, now about $7.00 per gallon in Britain.
Ouch! Yeah, when I hear some of my fellow yanks complaining about $3.00 gas it leaves me a bit perplexed. Some of us don't get out (of the U.S) much!
If it's any consolation I think you do get some perks that we don't get, such as the Land Rover Experience packages that I believe UK owners get.2005 LR3 HSE

Rather have cheaper gas than a 1/2 day LRE.

Too true. The number of miles I do a year I could do the 1/2 LRE every few months on the money I'd save if fuel was as cheap as in the US. Coffeecup
