Nope !
Is the answer we have come up with.
We have not been able to find it possible to adjust the auto head lamp sensitivity in my 2012 D4

Using an IID tool

We can see where to adjust the rain sensor sensitivity , under BCM Body Control but nothing for the main lights.

Ah well, the sun will come up tomorrow.....it's not the end of the world !

Auto Headlights on MY16 HSE

I am sure I saw a topic that said that the IID tool can be used to adjust the automatic "headlights on" level/threshold but I can't find it in the IID tool.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

So it does not warrant a new topic, but where is the config in IID Tool?

Are you sure the left (indicator stalk) is not set to main beam?

Angus, yes, with stalk in main beam position, when the lights switch on, they are on main beam, and dazzle oncoming traffic until I notice that they have switched on. Whereas a properly designed car [read: Audi] will switch the auto lights on 'dipped' even though the stalk is still at main beam.

yes, I would also like to know. Confused

I spent the afternoon looking for it but couldn't find it anywhere in the IID, even after an update to the latest firmware.

with winter setting in, I'd like it to kick in at a much lower threshold than the factory setting.

Did you adjust using the IID in the end?

I've also retrofitted DRLs, whilst sometimes when the auto lights come on I agree it would be worth lighting the car up, often I don't think it warrants a full dip beam, the DRLs are fine.

What settings did you go for?

Im not a fan of Auto lights

Just my preference so I don't have them on Auto on my D4, I noticed on my previous car (Freelander) that they came on when not needed, I also went through a couple of bulbs very quickly, once I turned Auto of I didn't have any more blow, but that could be coincidence.

I figure I know when I want my lights on JMO :0)
