[For Sale] Raptor TD5 Defender 90
Fully rebuilt 2001 Defender 90 td5 £14995 ono or may consider a swap for a late D3
Started life as a standard pick up but had a complete make over in 2015.
The truck cab was replaced with a non sun roofed hard top and brand new rear door before a side storage cubboard was fitted which has twin locks and gas struts to open.
The bodywork was fully prepped then sprayed in Tangiers Orange two part raptor coating which is rock hard and performs well. The chassis was also professionally cleaned before coating with raptor and at the same time all the chassis and bodywork was treated with dinatrol. All the underside of the panels are sprayed with raptor which reduces road noise.
Black boost alloys with 285 coopers were fitted in October and have done less than 1500 miles.
The list of upgrades and modifications are extensive as listed below. All were new during 2015
Stage 2 remap with turbo boost control and full width Allisport inter cooler.
Silicone hose fitted with stainless clamps
Egr removal kit
Straight through stainless mid section exhaust
Spicer Hardy front and rear prop shafts

Twin battery setup with separate fuse box and flat dog battery holder.

KBX grill and light surrounds

Exmoor Trim front seats
Tailored seat covers
Silicone hoses
9000lb winch with Plasma
Winch bumper with recover point
A Bar with 40 Led light bar
Raptor dash painted to match exterior and metal dash cover panels
Twin Led rear work lights
Twin whelan Led strobe lights
Full length Front runner roof rack with stainless tie down points and wind deflector
Galvanised and coated rock sliders
Mantec rear window guard
Blacked out rear quarter lights
Rear door and sides all insulated and ply lined with automotive carpet lining
Raised air intake
Dog guard
Led internal lights
Wipac led indicators, side and fog lights
Roof console
New roof lining
Cubby box with cup holder.
Chequer plate corner protectors
Chequer plate wing protectors
I am the second owner and the car was looked after by MID engineering prior to my purchase and it have covered 129k miles and had an mot in December with no advisories. There is no rot in this Landy at all and has been maintained regardless of cost.
ARB awning, Mantec rear storage drawer and eberspacher will be removed before sale.

I am interested to know how the raptor finish withstands daily use. I have been considering doing my 110 crew cab in green raptor for a while now but keep talking myself out of it
Did you apply it yourself?

Hi Paul,
The Raptor coating is a great product and can be sprayed with a shultz gun, rollered or applied by brush.
The product comes in black or a tintable version which can be mixed to any colour. My Landy is used by Raptor at various events including most of the Landy shows and has performed very well in the 6 months its been applied. Raptor actually sprayed mine at their training facility and the finish is excellent and easily cleaned with a bucket and sponge. You can read up the blurb on their website but one thing they dont really mention is its abilities to quieten the Landy. After mine was painted I decided to get it applied to the chassis and all of the underside and it made a huge difference to the noise levels inside the car.
It isnt the cheapest of finishes but I would certainly recommend it and when I get my 110 if it needs a paint refresh I would certainly do it again. If theres anything else you need to know please let me know. Andy

Cheers Andy, i think i am sold I have been looking at doing mine for a while in a similar colour green to what it currently is (belize) and doing the roof and interior as well. When i swap the chassis later this year i may do the underside of the body too and like you say, hopefully it will quieten it down

Reduced to £14k but could reduce further by taking some of the kit off.
Still looking for another Landy so may PX.

Still available and reduced cost to 10k.
It's also had new injectors, gearbox, clutch, DMF, wheel bearings and a Blacksheep HD cross member and is in need of nothing!
